You’re Present, But Are You Here?

I am a firm believer that time manipulation is the most superior power because it obviously trumps the other powers available.  It is clearly a jack of all trades. The other popular powers can easily be defeated through flashing forward to the future, or skimming back to the past. No matter what power, time can find a way to defeat it.

Time is the only thing that keeps us going, and it is ultimately the one thing that stops us. We are obsessed with time. Always searching for ways to do more with less.

That’s All 90’s: The Why For Generation Y

Right now, I am sitting on the edge of my bed staring at my Powerline T-shirt slipping out of a Hot Topic bag. Even though I pride myself over this purchase, as The Goofy Movie is one of the most underrated Disney movies of all time, I cannot help but to feel a bit conflicted. Recently I have noticed a rise in all things 90’s. The 90’s are back but unfortunately they are not to stay. We have always been a nation that has revolved around nostalgia (we did spend 8 years wondering whatever happened to the milkman, the paperboy and evening tv) but now, perhaps more than ever, we are clutching onto something we cannot hold: time.

On Aging and Nostalgia

This once tasted so sweet.

Foolish me, I thought wine became more refined

With aging –

But now as it touches my lips

I am only left with bitterness.

I should have savored the initial flavor.

Yet now I am left with a taste

That only reminds me of the one that I let go to waste.

The wine’s familiar aroma always makes me forget this melancholic aftertaste.

Cheers!
